Needed Items
Many of our programs are offered donations. Sometimes these donations can be used and sometimes they do not fill a program need. To help minimize this problem and maximize the value of your generous donations, we have needs lists and on-line registries for many of our programs. Click the program name for more information about needed items for the program that interests you.
- The Haven Shelter
The Haven is a homeless shelter for single women and families. The Haven offers shelter and integrated educational and support programs so single women and families can start life over again and work towards becoming self-sufficient and productive members of our community. - Housing Programs
There are many roads to a safe warm home and building one's own home is one of them! EICAP's Mutual Self-Help Housing program provides opportunities for eligible individuals and families to become homeowners. A set of hand tools is needed for each fo the soon-to-be homeowners to build their own home. In addition, EICAP needs to replace the worn power tools and electrical generators that are used to build the new neighborhoods. EICAP also provides Low Cost Housing for seniors, disabled and families. Hand tools and power equipment are needed by our maintenance staff to ensure that our residents live in safe housing. - Senior Programs
Seniors are often our forgotten citizens. Many find themselves without sufficient resources and assistance and find it difficult to live safely in their own homes. EICAP provides and facilitates dozens of programs that are designed to help seniors maintain self-sufficiency and ideally live in their own homes for as long as possible. - Weatherization Program
While most of us begin to think about preparing for winter when the weather gets colder, EICAP's Weatherization program thinks about winter year round! Our program provides assistance to eligible households, particularly elderly and disabled individuals, in the areas of energy conservation and health- and safety-related repairs.
