Local Generosity

Many times we hear and read about the generosity of the Idaho Falls community. I would like to give you one more example. In the last two weeks, Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (EICAP) has received more than 55,000 cans of food donated by the student body at Idaho Falls High School, Skyline High School and Hillcrest High School.

It seems that the generosity spoken of in Idaho Falls has been extended to the next generation of residents. Our thanks go to the students, advisors and administrators of Districts 91 and 93 and to the parents who obviously have taught their children the benefits of community service.

Low-income individuals in all of eastern Idaho will benefit from their service.

Community Action Agencies were established to fight the War on Poverty in 1964. Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership, located at 935 E Lincoln Rd in Idaho Falls serves the nine eastern Idaho counties with services to help low-income individuals become independent and self-sufficient.
