Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership is Accepting Bids
Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (EICAP) is taking bids for the remodel of property at 935 Lincoln Road in Idaho Falls. Plans are available at that location until bid opening on November 5, 2009. Interested General Contractors and sub-contractors are encouraged to bid.
EICAP signed a lease/purchase agreement with the current owners in December of 2008 with the plan that all of EICAP services in Idaho Falls would be consolidated in one location. Currently EICAP owns it's main office at 357 Constitution Way, but leases three other facilities in town; the Eastern Idaho Food Bank Clearinghouse on 19th Street, the Weatherization Program on Foote Drive and the West Head Start Center on Lomax. All of these programs would be moved to the newly remodeled location on Lincoln Road.
The remodel of the Lincoln Road location will be a unique remodel in Idaho Falls, EICAP has worked with architects Cooper Roberts Simonsen to design a remodel that will receive a Silver LEED Certification. The first such certification of a remodel in Idaho Falls.
As a result of the EICAP consolidation of services, the building at 357 Constitution Way is for sale for $1.1 million. NAI Commerce One is the agent for that sale.
Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership provides services to help at-risk individuals and families meet their basic needs and increase independence through support and education. This is done through a variety of programs that serve the populations of the nine eastern Idaho counties through offices in Idaho Falls, Rexburg and Salmon.
