EICAP Website Archive
The following are links to previous versions of the EICAP website.
- Version 1 - In 2002, we had a BYU-Idaho intern make the first website for EICAP. One thing to note, the intern was working for the Area Agency on Aging, so that section of the website is a) a little different and b) clearly more comprehensive. Click the image to view that site.

- Version 2 - In 2003, we redesigned the website and made it more uniform across programs. We added content to some parts of the website and made it more user friendly and colorful. Click the image to view that site.

- Version 3 - In 2004, we did the next update. This update was to generate a fresh look and feel than to create a whole new website. Click the image to view that site.

- Version 3.1 - In 2005, we created our first content management system based website. We wrote the CMS in house. We utilized the same site design features as in the previous version, but created a staff portal as a back end and utilized that at length within the organization. This portal also provided an interface for making live updates to the site. In 2006, we updated the color scheme to give it a makeover. Click the image to view that site.

- Version 4 - In 2008, we completely rethought our website. We formed a committee to rethink all aspects of the website, in particular the content. Virtually every page was rewritten and the site organization was completely redone. Previous iterations of our website had a hierarchy that followed our organizational structure. This version was organized with the visitor's needs in mind. The site was made with static html pages, making site changes difficult and time consuming. Click the image to view that site.

- Version 5 - In 2009, we recognized that our website was not being updated regularly and found that some of the site hierarchy decisions made before were not as effective as we hoped. Recognizing that making these changes would be tedious, we returned to using a content management system. This time, we used an open source solution, CMS Made Simple. We used some of the same design decisions from the previous version, but also made some striking design changes. Given the more sophisticated back end and reorganization of much of the content, we deemed this a new version of EICAP's website. Click the image to view that site.
