Adult Protective Services

Investigates and works to resolve reports of abuse, exploitation, neglect and self neglect of vulnerable adults ages 18 and older.

Caregiver Support

The Caregiver Support Group provides support information and resources for individuals that are caring for their loved ones. Respite offers free time to individuals taking care of family members by providing supervision to home-bound adults.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

Works with individuals who are in need of information, resources, and support regarding a variety of issues including: medical, legal, behavior and school issues.

In-Home Services

Locates, mobilizes and coordinates a variety of in-home supportive services to ensure that the senior client is able to remain in their home, while their physical and safety needs are being met.

Legal

Gives legal advice, counseling, or representation by an attorney (or other person acting under the supervision of an attorney) to older individuals with economic or social needs through Idaho Legal Aid.

Long Term Care Ombudsman

Advocates for and assists in problem solving for residents in nursing homes and assisted living centers. Problems, complaints or concerns focus on choices, residents’ rights, and quality of care or other long term care issues.

Housing

EICAP owns 92 senior housing units, located in Idaho Falls and St. Anthony, for persons who are 60 or over, and/or handicapped, and/or disabled, and who meet income and tenant selection criteria. To apply for housing or for more information, please contact the housing units directly.

Meals

Congregate Meals provided mid-day nutritious meals at 12 senior community centers. Home Delivered Meals are delivered from 11 senior community centers.

Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

Developed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), CSFP improves the health of low-income seniors at least 60 years of age, by adding nutritious food to their diets. Eligible seniors receive a free monthly food box that includes nutrition information and helpful recipes.

SMP

SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol) SMP empower and assist Medicare beneficiaries, their familes, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors, and abuse through outreach, counseling, and education. 

MIPPA

MIPPA (Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act) Provides outreach for Medicare Savings Programs such as “Extra Help” and increases awareness of Medicare Part D enrollment and Medicare disease prevention and wellness benefits.
